Annual Auction

Having a property to develop and a loan to repay has meant Street Level has established an annual fundraising dinner and auction. With the support of Fraser Motorcycles, Hunter Holden and the Daily Telegraph Street Level have had items to auction over the early years that have made a significant contribution to our work.

Most significant was the donation of a Harley Davidson Sporster used during the Sydney Olympics. This motorcycle was donated in recognition of Street Level’s support of motorcycling and its work on the streets by the Harley Davidson Motor Company of USA.

Beginning in 2001 at St Lukes Anglican Church, Northmead  the dinner/auction has moved around Sydney from St Stephens Willoughby, St. Lukes Miranda Glenmore Park Anglican Church (South Penrith), St.John’s Darlinghurst and then back to Street Level.

In 2009 SLCC trialled a silent auction and in 2010 is lokking at a venue in Parramatta in late August.

During its history this fundraiser has had gracious support from a number of congregations as well as identities such as Midnight Oils Peter Garrett and the Federal Member for Cook, Bruce Baird.

In 2004 local Penrith MP Jackie Kelly  provided significant logistic support as did Rev. John Lavander. This was a fun night with obvious benefits to Street Level. Most importantly the publicity generated is getting our Community and its activities more widely known.

Back in Parramatta Federal MP Julie Owens was a reguler supporter and now that the loan is paid off to St. John’s Anglican Cathedral

Street Level is looking at a special fund raising evening at a venue in Parramatta for our friends and supporters.
