From early in its history Street Level has seen a biblical imperative as part of our Christian lives to participate in advocating for and with those who have no voice within the power structures of our society. This has involved advocating on issues of homelessness and motorcycling linking those groups to local politicians, Ministers of the Crown and even leaders of the country.

This has included organising consultative meetings with people such as the former Roads Minister in NSW David Borger to former Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson when he has in Federal Parliament.

In Parramatta a series of local members have participated in the launch of Homeless Persons Week in Parramatta and arrived on the back of a Harley Davidson as part of the annual Bikers Australia Blanket Run. These politicians have included former Federal Liberal Member Ross Cameron and current Labor representative Julie Owens.

The Brotherrhood CMC website carries more information about this area but it is important to note that Street Level regards this as an aspect of Christian ministry and not the most important part. As always Street Level remains committed primarily to introducing those on the fringes to a personal faith relationship with the living Christ.
